Owl Halloween Costume

Even though I am no longer allowed to go Trick-or-Treating (I'm 19 but can totally pass as a 14 year old but that didn't convince my parents...) I still love being able to dress up and after much consideration and decisions making, I have finally decided on what to be. My favorite animal, an OWL! :) this will be my first time actually making my costume by hand, so i'm exited. I found this adorable little dress on one of my new favorite DIY blogs, A Beautiful Mess, and I'll include the link below. I will post pictures at its completion, so keep checking in!

Rocking Out With My Inner Goth.

I am a HUGE fan of Halloween, and is it draws closer, my inner goth girl likes to come out to play! So, my friend and i figured, for fun, we should do a little photo-shoot in a local cemetery to get into the Halloween spirit of things. i have to say the pictures came out AMAZING! It was also an added bonus that we lucked out and got to take some pics in the old church that stands in it. All in all, it was a very successful day. I'll post a few of my faves. creepy, yes, but incredibly chic for trying to portray the living dead? Yes!

Outfit:
Shirt: Rue 21 $4 ( On sale!)
Skirt: Maurices
Shrug: BCBG Max Azaria $8 ( I LOVE Goodwill! )

Lifetime MURDERED Project Runway..... :(

Okay, so pleassse tell me I am not the only one who believes Project Runway has totally flopped since Lifetime took it over. I mean honestly, Anya, Josh, and Victor? I do like Victor, he actually has this thing called talent, unlike the other two....Anyways....I am rather dissapointed. You would think after last years Gretchen fiasco, the producers would realize that we didn't want it to happen again...but nope...obvuiosly they are living under a rock, or just blatantly ignoring the the fans.
Also, If you get the chance, look up Anya's official bio....google her....seems like someone didn't just learn to sew, but is actually a graduate of Parsons...hmmmm....someones a bit fake, no? Well, Hope you enjoyed my rant. :) In closing, GO VIKTOR!!!!

Yay For Cooler Weather!

As it is now officially fall, I can finally say goodbye to my shorts and flip flops, and once again begin torturing my poor feet in super high boots. ( Sorry feet, but beauty is pain.) Of course this is a happy occasion for me. Yes, I will miss the summer, the green leaves on the trees, the summer rain, the warmth, but I find summer clothing dreadfully dull. Though I do have an obsession with maxi dresses now, which I will do my best to find ways to wear in this cooler weather.

On a sad note, I was hanging out all my slouchy over-sized sweaters, that I love, that I bought last year, and they are starting to show some wear and tear. Its just a few holes here and there, very small and Un-noticeable, but it makes me sad knowing I can't hold onto my favorite pieces forever. :/ But Oh well, I am going to wear those suckers until all that's left is a pile of thread. Then I can go shopping and buy new ones! Woot!
